Some excellent news from Futon Critic regarding the season finale:

LOST (ABC) - The Alphabet has confirmed the smash freshman hit will close its season with an expanded two-hour installment on Wednesday, May 25 at 8:00/7:00c. The news means that 25 hours of "Lost" are set to be shot this season, as well as a special one-hour "introductory guide" next month. The season closer had previously been indicated to be 90 minutes however when the script came in long it was expanded to two hours. It's not clear how the move will affect lead-out "Alias," which had also been previously slated to wrap with a 90-minute installment on May 25.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES/LOST (ABC) - The Alphabet's two major success stories this season are set to be the focus of their own one-hour "introductory guides." Both specials are designed to help new viewers catch up on each series' sometimes dense mythology as well as act as a refresher course for regular fans. The "Lost" special, set to air on Wednesday, April 27 at 8:00/7:00c (the show's regular time period), will focus on the characters of Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Sawyer (Josh Holloway) and Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) and retell their respective backstories in a linear fashion. It's unclear however how the clips will be introduced and if the hour will include any "behind-the-scenes"-type footage

Updated info has ep 19 (Deus ex Machina) airing March 30th, much sooner than we expected. Not sure what the rest of the schedule looks like, though.
